Teresa,
I listened to you at the SFWC and bought your book… now I am recommending it to others – even small business owners who have no desire to write. The conference gave some great ideas and you give the plan! Thanks!

From StartUp Women…
Next, Christina Schlachter shared what she learned at a recent conference: Build Your (profitable) Business: Top 5 things I learned from the San Francisco Writer’s Conference all small business owners can use!. Much of what she learned/shared can be applied to any profession, and included some low-cost or free channels to get your name out there. Christina has posted the content of her handout on our discussion board. Some additional tidbits that I jotted down:
* Christina recommended the book “Build Your Writer’s Platform & Fanbase In 22 Days: Attract Agents, Editors, Publishers, Readers, and Media Attention NOW”
* Reserve the URL of your name now – even if you don’t know when you’ll use it. Recommended hosting vendors included Name.com (Boulder company!) and eNom.com
* Smashwords.com – an ebook publishing and distribution platform for ebook authors, publishers and readers, usually free.
My school has aked me to reseach local websites. I happened to come across yours and think its great.
