Thanks for more helpful tips. I do have your book but have had zero time to do much (our family has had a long run of illness). I will get to using your book as soon as I can. And I'm looking forward to the next time we see each other.

Co-teaching a class with you sounds intriguing. Also I've wanted to work with children again, perhaps in family workshops or home school workshops on "Fiction Fun" - writing plus reading like a writer.

And thanks for the link, I'll check out what Linda Lee has to say on her blog.

Hi, Deborah!
So good to hear from you. I look forward to being on a panel with you again.
My workbook Build Your Writer's Platform & Fanbase In 22 Days has a section about how to link the subject matters in your books to the national and international dates--for press releases, etc. Every month, there's at least one "cause" that you can link to your books.
Spin press release headlines to draw attention to your mission statement (how to do this--also in my workbook). The question about WordPress cautioning the use of more than half-a-dozen tags per post--please go to Cyberspace Guru Linda Lee's blog and ask her that question--that way your URL will show up on her site http://askmepc-webdesign.com/hub/blog/
Also, Linda is the creator of http://wordpresscentral.org/
Since my primary blog is inside my website and I pay for webhosting (without the restrictions of a free blog)... I've never run into any issues over too many tags, but, I could be wrong; Linda would have the answers. Again, Deborah, I wish to express my desire to be on the same authors panel with you this year or next. Or, how about co-teaching a class--we both write fiction and we use the same devices to entertain young and not-so-young readers.
Cheers!

Thanks Teresa for this long list of national causes. In what ways do you recommend a writer use just one of them, beyond a blog post?

And I see you have used dozens of web tags on this post. WordPress cautions users of their site to add no more than five or six tags per post. This maybe for their internal search engine or SEO? I'm new to WP & blogging.

What is your experience on using national topic tags? Do you get new subscribers?
