Dear Deborah & Don,
Because my 2 posts (about Martha/Plot Whisperer being on my blog) were next to each other . . . I see now that you awesome writers posted your comments/questions on this post instead of this one http://lovemadeofheart.com/blog/writers-invited-to-camp-out-here-the-plot-whisperer-martha-alderson-to-arrive-october-18-2011-on-blog-tour/ where Martha did answer questions from about 20 writers.

Martha answered Deborah's question (even though Deborah's comment wasn't showing up on the latest blog post) because I had re-posted Deborah's question when I saw it in my email notification. Don, I couldn't figure out where your question was even though I saw it in my blog administrator panel. Talk about sleuthing :) !

I'm moving your questions to http://lovemadeofheart.com/blog/writers-invited-to-camp-out-here-the-plot-whisperer-martha-alderson-to-arrive-october-18-2011-on-blog-tour/ because Martha will be back tomorrow. Right now she's getting ready to be escorted to Capitola Book Cafe by her entourage for her 7:30pm appearance.

Thank you, Deborah & Don, for giving me a mystery to solve!
Sincerely,
Coach Teresa LeYung-Ryan

HI Martha,

In my first novel in a series of two, i wanted to know what you thought of having a character's sister die on 9-11 that sets up the inner conflict for a character's ongoing conflict with his family?

is that cliche? Will New York editors shy away from that? Or has the 10th anniversary lightened that heaviness?

In my second book in my Dog Leader Mysteries for middle grader kids, I'm adding three new villains, two other supportive characters and a rescued dog. I'm worried about my readers tracking over ten characters, especially a few with subplots.

Any hints for tracking subplots and character tags to help myself and my readers? I want to keep my story fun for 9 to 12 year old fans.

And yes, I have your book.
