She said:  I’m a novelist (PETROPLAGUE, a science thriller about oil-eating bacteria contaminating the fuel supply of Los Angeles and paralyzing the city), and also a critic (I review science & medical thrillers at my website ScienceThrillers.com), an educator (formerly microbiology professor at CSU), and a mom.
