The bad news is that we’re sad to announce the departure of Workshop Managing Director Solmaz Sharif, the Iranian American poet and activist who read anti-war poems with us in 2009, dreamt up our speed-dating night, and generally made the Workshop awesome. The good news is we’re proud to announce that she’s won the “Discovery” / Boston Review Poetry Contest, one of the most prestigious national contests for emerging poets!
