Today October 1st, 2013 my book LOVE MADE OF HEART turns 11 years old!
I have at least ten thousand people to thank!
Thank you to dear Stacey Glick who had found my manuscript in the “slush pile” 13 years ago (Stacey is VP of Dystel & Goderich Literary Management) and who had pitched to acquisition editor John Scognamiglio of Kensington Publishing Corp. NY (Thank you, John!).
Thank you to all my friends and family, colleagues, mentors, teachers, students, librarians, booksellers, reviewers, Goodreads, readers, California School Library Association, California Reading Association, San Francisco History Center, California Writers Club, Peninsula Branch, friends in California Writers Club branches, Women’s National Book Association: San Francisco Chapter, friends in Women’s National Book Association chapters, and everyone who help keep Love Made Of Heart the foundation of my platform as the author who uses her novel to inspire adult-children of mentally-ill parents to speak openly about the stigmas and find resources for their loved ones.
