“Build Your Writer’s Platform & Fanbase In 22 Days”
- Are you published and you want more readers and media attention?
- Is your fiction or nonfiction project being turned down by agents or acquisition editors because your platform doesn’t entice them?
Coach Teresa LeYung-Ryan will show you how to thrive in the publishing arena and have fun too. She says: “Reach out, not stress out! By making your name stand for something—to attract targeted consumers (your fans)—who are likely to buy what you have to sell. Learn how to help your fans find you, before and after publication!” From the author of Build Your Writer’s Platform & Fanbase In 22 Days: Attract Agents, Editors, Publishers, Readers, and Media Attention NOW.

Suzanne Corson Always Caring About Community – Swim a Mile for Women with Cancer
http://www.wcrc.org/swim/

Suzanne says:
” The Women’s Cancer Resource Center in Oakland, California, is an important, life-affirming, and supportive organization for women with cancer and their friends and families. I’m very happy to be participating in my fifth Swim-a-Mile to raise funds for their important work.
WCRC can certainly use our support to help them continue to provide the services (and yes, support) they do for women facing serious health challenges.
My swim honors my friends, family, friends of family (and family of friends!) — way too many of them, unfortunately — who have faced cancer, as well as those who provide care, support, and resources to people with cancer. If you’d like me to add the name of someone you’d like to honor to the Honor Wall at the swim, I’d be happy to do so.
All contributions are tax deductible; if your workplace matches charitable contributions, please forward me the necessary paperwork to match your gift and I’ll send it on to the staff at WCRC.
Thank you for helping me to help WCRC by sponsoring my swim! ”

Today October 1st, 2013 my book LOVE MADE OF HEART turns 11 years old!
I have at least ten thousand people to thank!
Thank you to dear Stacey Glick who had found my manuscript in the “slush pile” 13 years ago (Stacey is VP of Dystel & Goderich Literary Management) and who had pitched to acquisition editor John Scognamiglio of Kensington Publishing Corp. NY (Thank you, John!).
Thank you to all my friends and family, colleagues, mentors, teachers, students, librarians, booksellers, reviewers, Goodreads, readers, California School Library Association, California Reading Association, San Francisco History Center, California Writers Club, Peninsula Branch, friends in California Writers Club branches, Women’s National Book Association: San Francisco Chapter, friends in Women’s National Book Association chapters, and everyone who help keep Love Made Of Heart the foundation of my platform as the author who uses her novel to inspire adult-children of mentally-ill parents to speak openly about the stigmas and find resources for their loved ones.
Special thanks to Martha Alderson, Luisa Adams, Susan Canale, Elisa Sasa Southard, Margie Yee Webb, Kim McMillon, Vicki Weiland !
The photographer extraordinaire who took that happy photo of my showing off Love Made of Heart is author Cheri Eplin herself. We were at the San Francisco Writers Conference. I was presenting with Elisa Sasa Southard. Thank you, Cheri!
Thank you to Suzanne Corson who said “Yes!” when I asked to have a book party at her Boadecia’s Books. It was a rainy night and my friends still showed up! Thank you, Friends! Thank you, Suzanne, and all gracious booksellers and community spirits!
Thank you to author Carol Schaefer who was so generous to pitch my synopsis to her editor before I had found my agent. More about generosity–dear Christa C. Kerl-Konig was the one who had introduced my work to Carol in the first place. The literary world is full of generous and kind mentors! Thank you, Carol and Christa!
Thank you to authors Frank Baldwin, Carol Schaefer, Lydia Kwa, and Gus Lee for writing lovely advance praise for my book cover. I am so grateful!
Thank you Nancy Suib who believed in me. Thank you to all the booksellers who invited me to your bookstores and the friends who pitched me to booksellers and the friends who showed up at book parties and friends who couldn’t be there in person but cheered for me and told their friends about Move Made of Heart.
I have at least ten thousand people to thank!
Sincerely,
Teresa LeYung-Ryan,
